Mitsotakis continued his offensive style

Greek Prime Minister Kiriakos Mitsotakis continued his harsh rhetoric against Turkey, which he had increased in recent days, in his statement to the French “Le Point” magazine.

Miçotakis said, “We would like good cooperation in our relations with Turkey. However, an unprecedented offensive language has been used in Turkey recently against Greece and myself. Statements from Turkey confirm an aggressive and expansionist approach towards Greece. Mitsotakis said that while an armed conflict between two NATO members is unthinkable, he does not underestimate the dangers in the current environment and said, “I will not accept any questioning regarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Greece.”

The Greek Prime Minister also said in his statement:

– “ No one can deny that Greece secures its defence.

– Our defense expenditures exceeded 2 percent of the gross national product. We do not want to enter an arms race with Turkey. However, we must have a deterrent force against any attempt at our sovereignty.

– It is irresponsible for Turkey To Claim That It Is Threatened By Our Islands. In reality it is exactly the opposite.
