Zelenski, who was connected to the 53rd World  Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, via video conference, said that the accident was “a result of the war”.

Zelenski Said, “There is no such thing as an accident in wartime”. All indications of the helicopter crash indicate that it was an accident. But Ukraine’s security service is investigating the possibility of sabotage, as well as possible causes such as technical malfunction or flight violations.

One of the residents told the BBC that it was very foggy and there was no electricity, and as a result, the buildings were left in the dark.

It was stated that the helicopter first hit an apartment building and then a kindergarten. Apart from Minister  Denis Monastirski, there were eight other people in the helicopter. Authorities said a child was among the dead.

Kirilo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, said the helicopter crashed as Monatirski was heading towards a “hot zone” in the war.

After the war, which began in February 2022, Monatirski played a key role in informing the public about losses due to Russian attacks.
