Work has begun to darken the world

Scientists, who have started to produce radical solutions against climate change, are seriously considering the idea of darkening the Earth.
I guess there is no one who has not watched the movie The Matrix. If you remember, one of the methods people used to stop the machines in the movie was to darken the Sun by interfering with the atmosphere to cut off the energy source of the machines. When The Matrix came out in 1999, the idea of covering the sky and darkening the Sun could only be experienced in a sci-fi movie. However, at the point we have reached today, it seems very possible to turn it into reality.
Today, the greatest danger threatening both humanity and life in the world is seen as climate change. That’s why the scientific world is working hard to find a solution to this threat.
The project of dimming the daylight is part of these efforts. Studies in this field, known as solar geoengineering, show that the daylight reaching the Earth can be reduced thanks to the particles that will scatter into the atmosphere, thus preventing the alarming increase in temperature.
This idea, which has been talked about in theory for years and whose practical application seems to be possible in the near future, has recently gained the support of many scientists. According to the news of The New Yorker, this intervention, which was considered a crazy idea at first, is now seriously evaluated in the scientific world. Just last month, the White House announced a five-year research plan to study solar geoengineering. This move by the US government shows that the idea of dimming the Sun has now gone beyond science-fiction movies and turned into a real possibility.
Thanks to the developments in the world of technology, there is little doubt that this project will be realized sooner or later. But now the real question about this project is not whether it can be done, but whether it is right to do it. Because some scientists are worried about the unpredictable changes that such a major intervention, which could radically change the entire ecosystem, will create on life on Earth.
