Will Resident Evil 9 be in the third person? Capcom does not rule it out
The next Resident Evil could be in the third person. Capcom has admitted that it will consider on a case-by-case basis whether to adopt first or third person view.
Resident Evil 9 could be in the third person . According to what was declared by Capcom during the Tokyo Game Show 2022, it is not certain that the next games in the series will continue to adopt a first-person view, as in the case of Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village.
The development team makes it known that at the moment there is nothing precise and that it will evaluate on a case by case basis which path to take. So to date, Resident Evil 9 does not necessarily continue with the path already traced by Resident Evil 7 Biohazard . For the next projects, the developers will decide which view to adopt, choosing based on the narrative and gameplay needs of the game.
Furthermore, the team confirmed that unlike what happened with Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 7 will not receive any updates with the third-person view, as the game is designed exclusively for the first person.
Before leaving, we remind you that during the Tokyo Game Show 2022, Capcom also shared new details on the Shadow of Rose DLC from Resident Evil Village.
