Ukraine: 6 killed, 36 injured in Russian missile attacks

Ukrainian National Police Chief Igor Klimenko announced that 6 people were killed and 36 injured in missile attacks by the Russian army.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klichko said in a statement that the Russian army launched 31 cruise missiles at the capital, Kiev, and 21 of the missiles were shot down by the Ukrainian air defense system.

Klichko stated that 3 people, including a 17-year-old girl, lost their lives and 11 were injured in the attacks.

Ukrainian National Police Head Igor Klimenko gave information about the attacks carried out by the Russian army on important infrastructure facilities throughout the country.

Igor Klimenko stated that the Russian army targeted 16 important infrastructure facilities, 6 people lost their lives and 36 people were injured in these attacks.

“Russia attacked with 70 missiles and 5 UAVs”

In the statement made by the Ukrainian army, it was recorded that the Russian army carried out attacks with 70 cruise missiles and 5 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against important infrastructure facilities, including buildings, power plants and electricity distribution centers.

In the statement, which stated that 51 cruise missiles and 5 Lancet type UAVs launched by the Russian army were shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems, it was reported that the Russian army targeted buildings, thermal power plants and electricity distribution centers in Kyiv, Vinnitsa, Lviv, Zaporizhia and other regions.​​

Power outages across the country

In a statement made by the Ukrainian energy company Ukrenergo, it was reported that water and electricity cuts occurred throughout the country as a result of rocket attacks by the Russian army.

In the statement, it was noted that electricity and water cuts occurred in Kyiv, Lviv, Chernihiv, Kirovograd, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv due to missile attacks.
