“Twitter will allow you to send payments, even in cryptocurrencies,” promises Elon Musk

Elon Musk continues to share his plans for the future of Twitter with the web. Tomorrow the social network will integrate a payment platform : users will be able to instantly send money all over the world, even using cryptocurrencies.

Before completing the acquisition of Twitter, Elon Musk had explained that he wanted to use the social network to launch a new platform called ‘ X.com ‘: an ‘Everything App’ modeled after Chinese super-apps.

Soon, users will be able to easily send money to anyone on Twitter. One click will suffice. Tomorrow, the payments division will be the most valuable part of Twitter, more than all other teams combined

Elon Musk recently explained during a meeting with Twitter employees.

Before seeing the integration of a payment service within Twitter, it could take several months, and more likely years. If only because the social network will have to obtain the necessary licenses.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk lost more than $8.6 billion in just 24 hours this week. Blame the umpteenth collapse in the value of Tesla shares, which have reached their lowest value in recent years. Since the beginning of the year, Mr. Tesla has lost over 100 billion dollars, while remaining, by far, the richest man in the world.
