Twitter, soon tweets up to 1,000 characters. Elon Musk also breaks the last taboo

Are Twitter ‘s 280 characters tight for you? Don’t worry, Elon Musk has promised yet another revolution. The billionaire wants to raise the Tweet character limit, in yet another transfiguration of the social network.

Musk has promised that tweets of up to 1,000 characters will be allowed in the near future . We already knew that Twitter was working on a new limit. Recall that originally tweets had a limit of up to 140 characters.

In the past, Jane Manchun Wong, a well-known hunter of ‘hidden features’ and not yet announced, had revealed that Twitter was working on raising the limit of tweet characters. However, the Twitter home should not change much after the characters available to users will be increased.

In fact, the Twitter feed should always display a maximum of 280 characters. Users will have to click on a special button to reveal the rest of the text (a bit like on Facebook).

Meanwhile Twitter continues to have more than a few woes to deal with. The bots spammed the hashtags used by Chinese activists in an attempt to obscure testimonies of demonstrations organized in Shanghai and other cities. What’s more, a hacker is distributing the personal information of several million Twitter users.
