According to the survey conducted by Aksoy Research, 87 percent of the participants stated that they were aware of and followed the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). According to the survey, the congress was welcomed in Turkey and it was stated that the congress was an important milestone in China’s new era.

 

Those who participated in the survey, 53.4 percent of whom were university graduates and were public opinion makers in Turkey, stated that the congress was an important milestone in China’s new era and thought that Xi Jinping, who was elected for the third time, is the strongest leader in the country after Mao.

When asked how successful the Chinese Communist Party is in its anti-corruption program, 53.9 percent of the participants stated that they were successful; 28.5 percent said they were unsuccessful. 

A more proactive foreign policy is expected

According to the results of the survey, 43.1 percent of the participants found Xis performance in the first two terms successful, while the rate of those who said “I find it very successful” was 24.3 percent. When asked about the success rate in the new period, the rate of those who thought they would be successful reached 67 percent.

In line with the decisions taken at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the rate of those who think that China will have a more proactive approach with the countries of the world and a more conciliatory foreign policy in the new period was 72.4 percent.
