TRNC will establish a prefabricated village.
Since the first day of the earthquake, dozens of aid campaigns, especially municipalities and non-governmental organizations, have been organized in the TRNC, and 42 chambers of commerce, unions and associations united to form the Turkish Cypriot Solidarity Platform. The platform, which received the full support of the TRNC government, started the work of 1000 prefabricated houses to be built in the earthquake zone.
A live donation campaign was held on the state-owned Bayrak Radio and Television (BRT) last night for the TRNC prefabricated houses.
‘CHAMPION ANGELS VILLAGE’
Stating that they fully support the campaign, TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said, “The names of our sons we lost in Turkey will be immortal. We will build a thousand Prefabricated Houses And We Are The Common Denominator Of This Project, We Have Also Signed A Protocol On This Issue. I suggest that the village, which is planned to be built in the place that Turkey will show, should be named ‘Cypriot Turkish Champion Angels Village’ in memory of our champion children of the Turkish Cypriot volleyball team who lost their lives in Adıyaman.
