The trees project took place on the basis of the urban and extra-urban forestation plan. A tool that allows metropolitan cities to identify and plant the most suitable tree species for the biogeographical and ecological peculiarities of the territories involved. The objective was achieved thanks to the work of the metropolitan cities which presented the projects to the Mase and implemented the planting. Thanks also to the CUFA (Arma dei Carabinieri, Forestry, Environmental and Agri-Food Unit Command) which has made over two million seeds available.
