Inaba stated that Yamane did not leave Nintendo on a bad note, so such a peculiar ace in the hole will be in the hands of PlatinumGames. At the game studio, Yamane works as a vice president.

Our partnership with Nintendo is very important for Platinum, so we do not intend to deviate from this path. With the help of Takao Yamane, we will be able to build an even stronger relationship with NIntendo.

It was thanks to Nintendo that the developers from PlatinumGames were able to start producing the second and third Bayonetta, as well as release the original action game Astral Chain.

PlatinumGames’ next release for Nintendo is Bayonetta 3, which will be released exclusively for Switch on October 28th.
