Drought: Amazonia hit with serious consequences

Scientists have said that for every three trees that disappear in the Amazon , the fourth dies even without the cause of deforestation. Scholars have tried to give an explanation of the difficult processes that affect the most important and precious forests of the Earth. The root cause is the great drought we are experiencing and which has hit the Amazon even more severely. It modifies the humidity levels, moreover the wildly cleared parts cannot generate rain and thus contribute to increasing drought.

However, the discovery states that if the rains do not occur for long periods in a specific area, then the damage extends beyond that area. A reduction in water from precipitation in that area and which also reduces that of the entire system. Here this is the strong relationship between deforestation and drought. Less water in the system then leads the forest to dry up and disappear. Felling trees on an acre of land equals the destruction of 1.3 acres.

Experts explain that deforestation will lead to periods of drought which will become habitual as early as 2050. This could lead to the complete disappearance of the forest. For now, much of the Amazon is stable. The solutions would be: stop the felling of trees and quickly reduce greenhouse gas emissions so as not to worsen global warming.
