TikTok ban in the USA: Members of the House of Representatives will not be able to use it

In the USA, the House of Representatives banned the download of the social networking platform TikTok application to the official devices used by its members and employees.
The Office of the Executive Director of the House of Representatives announced the ban by email to members and staff of the House of Representatives.
In the announcement, it was noted that “the cybersecurity office considered the TikTok application a high security risk” and that the applications already installed on government-owned devices should be removed.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Chris Wray also stated that the control of TikTok is in the hands of the Chinese government, warning that this raises national security concerns for the United States.
TikTok Operations Chief Vanessa Pappas, on the other hand, stated in a session in the US Senate in September that the Chinese government has no access to the application’s data.
