After Wild Hunt released in 2015, CD Projekt RED studio, which took a break from the Witcher series for a while and focused on Cyberpunk 2077, returned to the Witcher series and announced new games in a row. Announcing that a new Witcher game trilogy is on the way, the studio first announced The Witcher Remake, the Witcher remake.
CD Projekt RED has announced that the mechanics of The Witcher 4 will be used in this remake, which will be prepared using the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. Therefore, the preparation of Witcher 4 will have to be waited before the Witcher Remake is brought to life. This means that The Witcher Remake will be released after The Witcher 4. The studio will be working on two games simultaneously. After releasing Witcher 4, this time it will complete Wticher Remake with the same technology.
If you remember, the studio, which was the target of criticism for being hasty in releasing Cyberpunk 2077, said that they would not rush this game, as if assuring that they would not make the same mistake in The Witcher Remake. It looks like CD Projekt RED is determined to wait as long as necessary this time.
