The UK government’s statement on the summit focuses on the business opportunities offered by new technologies and collaboration with leading US companies. Recently, both OpenAI and Anthropic have opened new offices in London, while OpenAI has chosen the British company Faculty as its technical integration partner.
The UK acted quickly to influence the development of new international rules required by experts, business leaders and politicians to reduce the risks associated with artificial intelligence. In May, Sunak met with the CEOs of OpenAI, DeepMind and Anthropic, while Secretary of State for Science and Innovation, Michelle Donelan met with other industry leaders.
