During the Unpacked event scheduled for July 2023, Samsung will also showcase the long-awaited Galaxy Watch 6. The new smartwatches will have improved battery capacity. The Galaxy Watch 6 series will consist of two models: the 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 and the 44mm Galaxy Watch 6 . Also, a new variant called Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be introduced . These devices will offer larger battery capacities than their predecessors.
According to several certifications circulated on the net, the 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 will be equipped with a 300mAh battery , while the 44mm variant will have a 425mAh battery . For comparison, the Galaxy Watch 5 series had a battery capacity of 284mAh for the 40mm model and 410mAh for the 44mm model. In short, it would be a significant step forward.
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is expected to have the same 425mAh battery as the 44mm variant of the Galaxy Watch 6. This is an improvement over the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, which had a battery capacity of 361mAh. Both the Wi-Fi only and LTE + Wi-Fi versions of the Galaxy Watch 6 40mm and 44mm models have achieved FCC certification. These devices will support 25W wired fast charging and 10W wireless charging .
