The new Oppo Find N2 is the lightest foldable smartphone ever

Oppo has presented the second generation of its foldable smartphones. The new Oppo Find N2 has captured the attention of the media, convincing above all for its extremely low weight . It is one of the first foldable smartphones to weigh less than a ‘normal’ phone.

The Find N2 should also arrive in Italy and has a slightly larger external display than the one mounted on the older generation of the phone. The brightness of both screens has been improved and even the hinge is now smaller and more pleasant.

It is a foldable smartphone with a booklet form factor: the main screen closes entirely, still allowing the use of the telephone thanks to an external 5.54-inch screen with a maximum brightness of 1,350 nits. Oppo has managed to reduce the bezels of the external screen by 47%, giving it a cleaner and more modern look.

When opened, the phone reveals a larger screen – like a mini tablet – which measures 7.1 inches and has a maximum brightness of 1550 nits. Both the internal and external screens have a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.

Weighing just 233 grams, Oppo calls its new Find N2 “the lightest foldable smartphone with horizontal screen in the world”. The primacy, therefore, is in the category of folding booklet devices. The thickness is also remarkable: just 14.6mm, a measure close to that of many top-of-the-range phones.

The heart of the Find N2 is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 , an excellent SoC which however has recently been surpassed by the S8G2. The phone is also equipped with a 4520mAh battery that supports 67W SuperVOOC fast charging.

Price and availability are still unknown. We will update you as soon as we have official news on a possible release in Italy (we are talking about the beginning of 2023 anyway).
