The New Abarth 500e Scorpionissima starts at €43,000, but the range stops at 250km

The new Abarth 500e is official. The first electric car from Scorpio lives up to expectations, promising a lot of power and just as much driving fun. At launch, a limited edition (complete with certificate) called the Abarth 500e ‘Scorpionissima’ will be available : 1,949 examples will be produced (like the year Abarth was founded).

Until 15 December it will be possible to book the Abarth 500e Scorpionissima in the exclusive Acid Green and Poison Blue colors – initially pre-orders will be reserved exclusively for members of The Scorpionship, the exclusive club dedicated to Scorpion car owners. In February, the car will finally debut in dealerships, for everyone. The Scorpionissima edition starts at €43,000 .

 The Abarth 500e is 1 second faster in urban recovery, which means 50% faster acceleration from 20 to 40 km/h than its petrol rival. The New Abarth 500e is also faster outside city driving, for example on hairpin bends, where from 40 to 60 km/h it can reach the desired speed in just 1.5 seconds – much faster than the petrol version, which remains back 15 metres, reaching 60 km/h one second later. Finally, on the open road, the New Abarth 500e full electric performs overtaking maneuvers faster than its petrol version, reaching a speed of 100 km/h (starting from 60 km/h) when its counterpart is still traveling at 91 km /h, with a difference of about 1 second

The first electric Abarth has a 114 kW and 155 HP electric motor with 235 Nm of torque, which allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds . The speed was electronically limited to 155km/h.

As for autonomy, the new Abarth 500e Scorpionissima should offer up to 250 km on a single charge. And this on paper, actual values ​​may vary.
