The multiplayer project of The Last of Us returns to show itself in a new promotional image. Let’s see it in detail.
This year The Last of Us turns 10 and for the occasion, the narrative universe of Naughty Dog will expand not only with the arrival of the HBO television adaptation but also with the debut of Factions, the multiplayer project by The Last of Us. In a lengthy message on the studio’s blog, Neil Druckmann, president of Naughty Dog and creator of the series, posted a new promotional image of Factions promising that he will soon share more information about the project.
The image , which you find at the beginning of this news, shows two characters walking near a beached ship, in what could be one of the playable maps of the new multiplayer mode. According to what was revealed by Naughty Dog, The Last of Us multiplayer project team is led by Vinit Agarwal , co-game director (he was also previously lead game designer of The Last of Us Part 2, Uncharted 4: End of a Thief & The Lost Legacy); Joeseph Pettinati, creative director (formerly lead editor of The Last of Us Part 2 and video editor of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s Legacy & The Lost Legacy); Anthony Newman, co-game director (previously held the same role on The Last of Us Part 2, and was lead game designer on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and the original The Last of Us).
The Last of Us: Factions will also be fresh and huge, even bigger than Naughty Dog’s other single-player video games and of course it will be a true extension of the narrative universe of The Last of Us with new characters, a story and some goals to pursue.
