As we get closer to the announcement of the new Samsung Galaxy Z series, as it is obvious that both tipster activity is also intensifying. So it happens that in these hours numerous rumors and many leaks of news have emerged concerning the expected Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
And it is precisely the Galaxy Z Fold 5 – that is, the ‘booklet’ folding smartphone coming out this summer – that has been the protagonist of a recent and important leak. The alleged technical specifications of the high-end leaflet have appeared on the net.
The news comes from tipster @TheGalox_ who shared the latest information on Twitter. According to TheGalox, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will have a tall 7.6-inch AMOLED display and a 6.2-inch AMOLED external display . Both panels will have a 120Hz refresh rate. These screens will also be brighter than the previous generation model. Note that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will also have an under-display selfie camera.
Under the hood, the foldable high-end phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that will be joined by 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will also feature a triple camera setup: a 50-megapixel sensor, 12-megapixel ultrawide-angle, and 10-megapixel telephoto. The main camera will presumably support recording up to 8K at 30fps.
It will have a new hinge mechanism, which should offer a less noticeable crease and smaller groove when the device is closed, a thinner and lighter model. Other notable features include improved vibration motors, S Pen support, improved speakers, and One UI 5.1.1-based Android 13 operating system.
