CD Projekt RED, one of the important names in the game industry, was very disappointing with Cyberpunk 2077, which it launched last year. One of the biggest reasons for this disappointment was The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, which was released in 2015. The Witcher 3 was such a good production that it significantly increased expectations from Cyberpunk 2077.
So CD Projekt RED blew up badly. While Cyberpunk 2077 was going to be the game of the year for many, it was the balloon of the year. After the Cyberpunk 2077 debacle, the eyes were once again turned to The Witcher series. The other day, CD Projekt RED made a statement about the sequel to the Witcher series.
Recently, there were rumors that a new Witcher game was being developed in some media. As a result, these rumors were not completely denied by CD Projekt RED officials. It was passed off as there is a time for everything. In other words, it has been clearly stated that The Witcher 4 is currently in the development phase.
Frankly, it seems unlikely that The Witcher 4 will arrive in a short time. According to leaked information, The Witcher 4 will be released in 2025.
