Rain of negative reviews on Steam for The Callisto Protocol: apparently the PC version would present numerous problems of a technical nature.
It seems that The Callisto Protocol has numerous problems on PC , so much so that it has been bombarded with negative reviews on Steam . According to what was reported by users, the game would present continuous stuttering phenomena , constant slowdowns even on high-end PCs and poorly implemented Ray Tracing which leads to frequent and annoying clicks.
Some also claim that the work would encounter the same problems even by deactivating RTX support and there are those who are unable to play adequately with an RTX 3080 even if the settings are set to a minimum. At the moment on Steam the game has a mostly negative evaluation with only 26% of favorable judgments and there are those who are already mobilizing to request refunds.
These evaluations are then added to all the fluctuating evaluations that the game has received from international critics. While waiting for the developers to fix the technical problems of the PC version, we remind you that The Callisto Protocol is the long-awaited sci-fi horror from Striking Distance Studios. The title tells the story of Jacob Lee grappling with the exploration of the maximum security prison on Callisto which contains unspeakable horrors.
In the game, we will be able to fight both through the use of firearms and through melee attacks . Furthermore, Jacob, the protagonist, will also be able to rely on some “GRP” skills that will allow him to attract objects towards himself to move them and thus solve small puzzles.
The game also takes advantage of a technique called “Horror Engineering” which blends different components such as atmosphere, tension, violence and a sense of helplessness with the aim of triggering an unprecedented sense of terror.
The Callisto Protocol is available now for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
