Construction production increased in the euro area

Construction production in the Euro Zone increased by 0.3 percent in July compared to the previous month.

The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published seasonally adjusted construction production data for the European Union (EU) and Eurozone for July.

Accordingly, construction production in the 19-member Eurozone increased by 0.3 percent in July compared to June. Construction production increased by 1.5 percent compared to July of 2021.

In the EU, on the other hand, construction production increased by 0.2 percent in July compared to the previous month and by 1.3 percent compared to the same period of 2021.

Among EU countries, the highest increase in construction production in July compared to the previous month was measured in Spain with 6.7 percent, Hungary with 5.7 percent and Slovakia with 3.1 percent. The highest decreases were observed in Austria and Slovenia with 4.2 percent, Czech Republic with 2.9 percent and Sweden with 1.3 percent.
