Strange World – A Mysterious World has its own island in Animal Crossing

Almost three years after its arrival, Animal Crossing: New Horizons , the well-known life simulator for the Nintendo Switch family of consoles, is still a point of reference for gamers of all ages, a pop culture phenomenon capable of embracing fields of various kinds, from sporting and cultural events, to television shows or international magazines, all thanks to the efforts of a community of creative and enterprising fans but also often very spot-on marketing stunts, which find a special place among the islands of the title Nintendo. To celebrate the arrival of the original Walt Disney Animation Studios action adventure Strange World, one of the largest communities of Italian fans, Animal Crossing Life, has created the special in-game Island Avalonia, inspired by the long-awaited animated feature film directed by Don Hall which will arrive in Italian cinemas on November 23rd and will feature a legendary family of explorers, the Clade, on an unexpected journey into an unknown and dangerous land.

The special virtual space is full of easter eggs and interactive elements: starting from the panoramic point, useful for scrutinizing the horizon and observing the pando, the revolutionary plant that supplies energy to the community of Avalonia, to then continue with the camp, one space designed to rest and for a fine-tuning of the futuristic vehicles inspired by those present in Strange World – A Mysterious World. And as a last gem, players who visit the Island will be able to meet some of the protagonists of the adventure in-game, such as Ethan and Splat, and will be able to bring souvenirs to their Island, starting with the decorative elements inspired by the film.

The special in-game island Avalonia can be explored in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with the dream code DA-7049-8519-2666, while all the decorations inspired by Strange World can be found thanks to the stylist code MA-4079-7319 -1238.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons marked the debut of the Animal Crossing series on Nintendo Switch and introduced new features such as crafting items, new ways to decorate both indoors and outdoors, the exclusive Nook Phone and much more. As in previous games in the series, players can engage in many different activities and meet new and old characters, while peacefully enjoying the passing of the seasons on the island, which closely follow those of real life. With over 34 million copies sold worldwide, it is the second best-selling video game ever on the Nintendo Switch console, after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

And the growth of the title hasn’t stopped since its launch. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been enriched with new features, capable of making the title even more customizable and enjoyable. Thanks to the latest free update 2.0, the possibility has been introduced to exploit ingredients such as tomatoes, wheat, potatoes and sugar cane to create delicious dishes. A game feature to which Happy Home Paradise is added, a paid downloadable content that delights design lovers, with new and refined customization options, such as partition walls, counters, new lighting and much more.
