EA will shut down servers for Mirror’s Edge, Army of Two, Command & Conquer and other old games soon

EA has confirmed their plans to shut down servers soon on some of their older games. According to the publisher, it’s hard to abandon projects, but when the peak online drops to a minimum, it’s no longer advisable to continue supporting.

These are mainly games on PS3 and Xbox 360.

  • Army of Two: The 40th Day – October 18

  • Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel – October 18

  • Command & Conquer: Red Alert November 3 – 9

  • Command & Conquer: Tiberium – November 9

  • Command & Conquer: Kane’s Wrath – November 9

  • Mercenaries November 2 – 9

  • Gatling Gears – January 19

  • Mirror’s Edge – January 19

  • NBA Jam: On Fire Edition – January 19

  • Onrush – January 19

  • Shank 2 – January 19th.

Once the servers are shut down, players will no longer be able to access their progress data and other online features. The single player will still work.
