In a few days – Wednesday 7 September – the highly anticipated Far Out event will be held , Apple’s keynote dedicated to the company’s new flagship products, including the new iPhone 14 . There will be four in total, but this year the Mini model will be replaced by a base model with screen of identical size to that of the Pro Max.

As often happens, this latest avalanche of indiscretions and anticipations also comes to us from Mark Gurman , a Bloomberg journalist and expert background in the world of the bitten apple.

According to Gurman, the protagonists of the event will be the new Pro devices, since it will be the iPhone 14 Pro and the Apple Watch Pro respectively to introduce the largest number of new features. The ‘essential’ counterparts will instead be presented more hastily.

Let’s go in order. As anticipated, the new iPhones will be four. Goodbye to the Mini series, replaced by the new iPhone 14 Plus: same specifications as the 14 but a 6.7-inch display, the same diagonal as the Pro Max.

The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus will be equipped with the Apple A15 Bionic SoC, ie the same chip as the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. On the contrary, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will be equipped with the new and more powerful Apple A16 Bionic.

The new iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will say goodbye to the old notch, replaced by a pill solution flanked by a photo: they will host, respectively, the Face ID sensors and the selfie cam. As widely anticipated by numerous rumors, the Pro models will introduce the always on display mode on an Apple phone for the first time – made possible by the new screens with variable refresh capable of reaching particularly low values. They will also have a new 48MP main camera with an all-new focusing mechanism.

To all this – already discussed over and over again in the past – is added an important novelty concerning the batteries: the new iPhone 14 Pro will be slightly thicker, in order to accommodate a battery that should offer a longer autonomy than that of the previous generation.

All that remains is to wait until September 7 to finally know all the details of the new Apple smartphones.
