Russia’s oil shipments to China increased

Rosneft’s Chairman, Igor Seçin, said that Russia’s oil shipments to China increased by 9.5 percent in the 10 months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 72 million tons.

President of Russian oil company Rosneft, Igor Seçin, spoke at the “4th Russia-China Energy Trade Forum” held in the capital Moscow. Noting that Rosneft is the main oil supplier to China, Seçin stated that 7 percent of China’s total oil demand is supplied by Rosneft.

Stating that Russia’s electricity shipments to China increased by 33 percent in the 10 months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, Seçin said, “This year, Inter RAO’s shipments to China reached 4 billion kilowatt-hours in the January-October period due to extreme heat and power cuts. ” said.

Pointing out that they have also increased their oil shipments to China, Seçin said, “Russia’s oil shipments to China increased by 9.5 percent in the 10 months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, and reached 72 million tons. Emphasizing that Russia’s natural gas shipments to China will increase through pipelines, Seçin said, “Russia’s gas shipments to China through pipelines will reach 100 billion cubic meters per year in the near future. In the presentation made by Seçin at the forum, it was also shared that Russia will ship 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China this year through the Power of Siberia pipeline.
