Russia and International atomic energy leaders met in Istanbul

It was announced that Likhachev, Director-General of the Russian atomic energy agency Rosatom, and Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, came together in Istanbul today. Rosatom described the meeting as a well-founded and honest meeting to discuss the safety of the Zaporozhian nuclear power plant.
Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi met with delegations in Istanbul today. During the meeting, it was stated that the security of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and the missile attack on 20 November, which ‘strongly shook’ the power plant, were discussed.

Rosatom described the meeting as ‘well-founded and honest’ and explained that the role of IAEA authorities at the plant in the security of the plant was discussed in detail.
It was stated that the parties agreed to continue their cooperation.
