Rocket terrorist attack in Karkamış: 3 people lost their lives

3 people lost their lives as a result of 5 rockets fired by the terrorist organization from the north of Syria to Karkamış district of Gaziantep.

5 rockets fired by members of the terrorist organization YPG/PKK hit a high school and two houses in Karkamış district center and a truck near the Karkamış Border Gate.

A large number of teams were dispatched to the scene. The truck, which caught fire after the attack, was extinguished by the firefighters in the region.

In a statement on the subject, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said that 3 people lost their lives in the mortar attack on the Karkamış district of Gaziantep by the members of the terrorist organization from Syria.

In his statement on his social media account, Gaziantep Governor Davut Gül stated that 5 mortar rockets were fired from the east of the Euphrates to the Karkamış district center by the terrorist organization.

Injured health worker described his experiences

Mehmet Gören, a healthcare worker who was injured during the rocket-mortars fired from the north of Syria by the members of the terrorist organization YPG/PKK in Karkamış district of Gaziantep, talked about the moment of the attack.

Gören, who was treated at Nizip State Hospital, said that after the first rocket, they went to the scene as a 112 team. Explaining that they are trying to help those injured due to the rocket falling into the house, Gören said:

“There was a citizen who was trapped under the rubble, we were interfering with him. Meanwhile, another bomb came. I found myself in the stairwell due to the effect of the shaking. Later, I was brought to the hospital. I think I have a broken foot.”

One soldier and 7 police officers were injured as a result of rockets fired from the north of Syria by members of the terrorist organization YPG/PKK to the Öncüpınar Border Gate area in Kilis yesterday.

The 4 rockets fired by the members of the terrorist organization into the Karkamış district of Gaziantep hit an empty area yesterday evening.
