Starting March 1, 2023, replacing the battery in iPhones, iPads and Macs will become more expensive. The increase varies from model to model: replacing the battery of an iPhone 14, for example, will cost $20 more than in the past. For older or entry-level iPhones, those that still have the Home button, the average price goes from $49 to $69, while for iPhones with Face ID it goes from $69 to $89.
Mac Air battery replacement increases $30 on all models, which means prices will range from $129 to $159, depending on the year of the laptop. MacBook Pro batteries, on the other hand, increase by a whopping $50, bringing the price of a replacement to $249.
And this in the United States. The bad news is that the increases also affect Italy. To give some examples: from March 1, replacing the battery of an iPhone 13 will cost 99 euros (and no longer €75), while replacing the battery of a MacBook Pro will no longer cost 229 euros, but 289 euros. And so on.
