Poste Italiane in tilt: impossible to access BancoPoste and PostePay

Today, December 15, 2022, several Poste Italiane customers reported important problems with some of the company’s most important services. In particular, home banking services do not appear to work properly  regardless of the access methods: web and mobile.

 

Specifically, users would be unable to access the main mobile applications of Poste Italiane, such as BancoPosta and PostePay. The user receives an error message informing him that the service is temporarily unavailable and to try again later. The problems are widespread and seem to involve all users, as evidenced by the hundreds of reports received by the specialized portal Down Detector . The first reports were recorded around the early hours of the morning, around 08:00.

Poste Italiane has not yet published an official communication and therefore it is not possible to determine the causes behind the error messages, nor when the situation could probably be unblocked.

We will update this news as soon as new information becomes available or if an official communication from Poste Italiane is received by the editorial staff.
