Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro: Google’s VPN free, forever, to all owners

Google is once again spoiling Pixel smartphone owners, usually the first to get the latest updates for Android.
With today’s Feature Drop, owners of the latest generation Pixel smartphones get access to Google’s VPN for free. This is not a trial period, but a guaranteed access to the feature forever.
Google offers its VPN as a perk of the Google One subscription, i.e. its paid cloud storage service. Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphone owners will get the VPN without necessarily having to subscribe to the service. This is an extremely aggressive marketing move that clearly once again spoils the owners of Google-branded smartphones, generally the first to receive the latest updates for Android (as well as beneficiaries of a whole series of exclusive features).
Among other things, the December Feature Drop also includes Clear Calling , a filter that improves the quality of incoming and outgoing phone calls via software, reducing the background buzz and making the voice clearer and more understandable.
Then there’s Speaker Label , an AI that can identify different people’s voices when using Google’s recorder. In practice, the recording will have ‘markers’, indicators of different colors, capable of specifying when a specific person is speaking during the recording.
The December Feature Drop also introduces a unified hub for all security and privacy-related features and options.
