George R.R. Martin: ‘House of the Dragon’ will have four seasons

If you thought House of the Dragon would only last a couple of seasons, then George R.R. Martin will make you happy. Mater released a new blog , in which he said that the show about the Targaryens will run for four seasons.

Each of them will have 10 episodes.

The blog itself this time came out quite interesting. In it, the master argues that the show in our time has become too short – only 10 episodes. For example, the first season of “Rings of Power” had eight, “Kenobi” had six, and “The Sopranos” had 13. “Lost” had 25 episodes.

He also said that he supports the words of Ryan Kondal, who said in an interview that he would only be happy with the success of “Rings of Power”. Martin noted that he rejoices in all fantasy shows and demands film adaptations of many famous authors: from Joe Abercrombie to Ursula Le Guin. But most of all he wants a film adaptation of Roger Zelazny’s The Nine Princes of Amber.

Martin himself is currently busy with The Winds of Winter, which will come out… someday.
