Miner is the electric super taxi designed by Giugiaro that promises a revolution.
It’s a ‘Super Taxi’: the design was overseen by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro and taxi drivers can hire it for €0.99 per kilometer.
It’s a ‘ Super Taxi ‘: the design was overseen by the legendary Giorgetto Giugiaro, it’s completely electric but the batteries are changed on the fly (battery swap) like those of old telephones. Inside we find large screens for infotainment and even snacks and drinks.
No robots: the taxi is driven by regular taxi drivers (not NCC, not improvised drivers), who, however, instead of buying the vehicle, can rent it, at a fixed rate of €0.99 per km (a minimal impact on the regular fare price).
What we have described to you is the dream of Etioca Holding, a startup born in Turin that has set itself the goal of revolutionizing the taxi sector. The vehicle, on the other hand, is called Miner and, as we said above, is completely electric.
Business-drivers can use the super taxi and all related services at a cost of 0.99 cents/km, an average European price per km. The project was realized thanks to an investment of 400 million dollars and is expected to reach 1.2 billion dollars in the next 3 years. Production is scheduled for 2024, after Etioca Holding has acquired the Coggiola body shop, thus becoming the holder of the WMI license for the unlimited production of a wide range of vehicles. The project also aims to be listed on the Stock Exchange and has already hired almost 1,000 people in Turin.
