No reason was given for this delayed release, only that the dev team needed a little more time to deliver the best possible gaming experience. In addition, on the Nintendo Switch side, it is not clear when the game will be released, but it is said that it will be announced soon.

Hogwarts Legacy What Kind of Game?

In this PRG game developed by Avalanche Software and set in the Harry Potter universe, we will play a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the 1800s and will feature a moral system and character customization alongside a variety of spells.

With the character we will design ourselves, a fifth grader will be placed in one of the Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuf or Gryffindor at Hogwarts and attend classes, have a wizarding duel with another classmate, learn how to make potions and fly on a broomstick in the classroom, as well as explore the school campus in our spare time.

Hogwarts Legacy will release for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC on February 10, 2023.
