The Delta (Δ) symbol was chosen because its meaning corresponds to the very concept of the remake project,” wrote the official Metal Gear Solid Twitter account. “Delta means  change or difference , but without changing the structure”

The Delta, in fact, in mathematical language, is used as an operator symbol and as a finite difference symbol . The symbol is often used to indicate an increase and a difference with respect to a situation, therefore it is a meaning that is linked to the very concept of a remake and of a work that therefore includes differences and changes with respect to the original work.

Before leaving you, we remind you that Metal Gear Solid was also announced at the PlayStation Showcase on May 24th. Master Collection Vol.1. The collection will contain 5 games and not 3 as originally thought.
