Mauna Loa volcano erupts after 38 years

38 years later, an eruption occurred at the Mauna Loa volcano in the US state of Hawaii.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) warned island residents that the eruption of the world’s largest active volcano could be very dynamic and the flow direction and speed could change.

Officials stated that the island’s inhabitants should be prepared for a possible evacuation and worst-case scenario, in case the lava flow direction can change rapidly.
Ken Hon of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said that after the big eruption 38 years later, there were aftershocks.
Health officials reported that Hawaii Island’s air quality is being monitored and is now in good condition.
