  • Push Square – 8/10

  • Dexerto – 7/10

  • VGC – 2/5

On Metacritic, the PS5 version of the game was rated 84 out of 100, while the PC version was rated worse at 76 out of 100.

In general, the opinions of journalists were divided. Some praise the visual component of the title, improved combat system, story and characters. The technical component of the game came under criticism, and the VGC edition emphasized that the battles were poorly implemented in the game, and the title itself was called too long:

A Plague Tale: Requiem is a sometimes gripping adventure, weighed down by poor technical execution and simple, frustrating and repetitive gameplay. While the stealth action can be fun and the rat swarm puzzle elements can be fun, this is a game that offers interesting ideas but never uses any of them.

The plot of the game tells about the new adventures of Amicia and Hugo. They will travel to new places and face various challenges. In this difficult journey they will be accompanied by friends.

A Plague Tale: Requiem releases tomorrow on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud).
