A doctor from a local hospital told AFP that at least 16 people were killed and 24 injured in an explosion in a madrasa in the northern city of Aybak, Afghanistan.

A state official also confirmed the explosion in the city, which is about 200 kilometers north of the capital, Kabul.
While the injured were taken to the hospital, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
