Ita Airways: new routes from 2023

The airline 2023 will have 39 new aircraft and 6 other destinations. Ita Airways looks to the future with optimism: fleet expansion and new destinations.
After the delivery by the government of the second tranche of 400 million of the total financing of around 1 billion euros, Ita Airways is optimistic. Among the projects for 2023, there will be an expansion of the fleet and the launch of new routes. All are accompanied by new hires.
From 2023, 39 new latest generation aircraft will be operational. Of which 9 will be the wide body (wide body, double aisle) and 30 will be the narrow-body (narrow body, single aisle). The airline is also attentive to respecting the environment and reducing pollution. In 2026 it seems to be destined to become the greenest airline in Europe.
From summer 2023 there will be direct flights from Rome Fiumicino to San Francisco and Washington. From November those will leave for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Future opening to new destinations in the Middle East . The network will be expanded with Riyadh, Jeddah and Kuwait City, again through the Rome Fiumicino hub.
In 2025, the destinations will rise to 74 with 89 international and intercontinental domestic routes. The privatization of ITA Airways is still open. In 2021 the airline received the 700 million of the loan and then in 2022 the second part of 400 million. A new tranche of 250 million euros is expected in 2023. The track leading to the Msc-Lufthansa consortium is still in standby, in the future the American Indigo Partners could also join.
