iOS: More and more users accept app tracking

Apparently, more and more users have decided to allow iOS to track data, as recently emerged thanks to a report. After the iOS 14.5 update, Apple ‘s operating system tracking transparency policy has been updated, and in fact it asks users explicitly whether they want to allow tracking or avoid it, with many companies also raising issues in this is due to the decreasing amount of data obtained.

Apple takes care of providing a random number to each iPhone and iPad that is tracked, known as IDFA, which is then tracked with no way of tracing users. Apparently, despite the billions of dollars apparently lost by Meta , with various social networks also suffering from the issue, such as Snapchat , Twitter and YouTube , the situation would be improving. According to the analytics of Adjust, as reported by the pages of 9to5Mac, 16% of users decided to be tracked at greater than 2021, with the percentage that would have risen to 25 over time.

The figures are obviously not accurate to the hundredth, given that we are talking about analyzes based on the 2,000 most popular apps on the App Store , with everything improving even in the gaming world at 30%, up to in some cases reaching 75%. The improvements are seen in particular when you think about the fact that a month after the launch of the feature, only 4% had accepted the tracking, and it is therefore likely that in the future we will see even higher numbers.

It must be said that everything also depends on the awareness of this practice of apps, which in many cases have spent a few words to explain how the system can actually be useful for users.
