Aloy’s new adventure takes us to a region characterized by boundless lands and breathtaking landscapes where we can find, among the flaming colors of the vegetation, monuments and devastated buildings, which were inspired by existing buildings. ElAnalistaDeBits has made a video comparison between the scenarios of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West and the real places on which they are based.

While the games haven’t tried to be completely faithful to the locations they’re inspired by, the areas Aloy must advance through in the Forbidden West correspond to famous points in the US states of Utah, Nevada and California. You can admire them by taking a look at this video.

As you can see, the really existing locations that it is possible to find within Aloy’s adventures are many: they range from the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver to the Delicate Arch in Utah, passing through the Air Force Academy Cadet Chapel near Colorado Springs, up to the Daniels & Fisher Tower in Denver and so much more. A truly breathtaking sight!

We remind you that Horizon Forbidden West is available now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game was elected by Digital Foundry as the title with the best graphics of 2022 and will reach even higher levels with the upcoming paid expansion Burning Shores in April 2023 only on PS5.
