German Foreign Minister Baerbock and Interior Minister Faeser are coming to Turkey

German Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Christian Wagner announced that German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser will go to Turkey to visit earthquake zones.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser will go to Turkey after the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that caused destruction in 10 provinces centered in Kahramanmaraş. German Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Christian Wagner announced in the capital Berlin that they will visit the earthquake zones of Baerbock and Feaser and meet with the earthquake victims.

Spokesperson Wagner stated that during the visit of the two ministers to Turkey, they will also hold talks on the simplified visa procedure to facilitate the arrival of earthquake victims who have first-degree relatives in Germany. Wagner added that the date of Baerbock and Feaser’s visit to Turkey has not been clarified yet.

VISA EASE FOR EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

Baerbock took action so that people living in Germany could temporarily take their relatives affected by the earthquake with them. Stating that they are carrying out a joint plan with the German Ministry of Interior, Baerbock said, “As the German government, we want to help families in Germany to temporarily take their relatives who were affected by the earthquake, became homeless and need treatment. A task force was formed for this. to make the process as bureaucratic as possible.”

Faeser said that they want to enable Turkish and Syrian families in Germany to take their relatives in the earthquake area with them for a period of 3 months . “It will be valid for 3 months. We will make this possible with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” he said.
