Final Fantasy XVI returns to show itself in a series of new images

Square Enix has released a fresh batch of new images  from  Final Fantasy XVI. The shots come directly from the “Vendetta” trailer presented during the night of The Game Awards 2022. You can view the shots in the gallery below:

Yesterday, in addition to the trailer , the release date was finally announced . The game will arrive on June 22, 2023 exclusively on PS5. Finally, in the last few hours, the pre-order bonuses of the Standard Edition and the contents of the Deluxe Edition have also been confirmed.

By pre-ordering the Standard Edition of Final Fantasy XVI  you will get access to a large list of bonuses to be exploited in-game, including the ” Braveheart ” weapon and the accessories “Ketsy’s Lucky Charm” and “Scholar’s Glassses”.

Ketsy’s Lucky Charm is an accessory that increases the amount of Gil (the currency used in the game world of Final Fantasy 16) obtained in battle, while the Scholar’s Glasses that of experience points.

 

Each of these items will be redeemable until December 31, 2030, and to get them you will need to access the Main Menu > System > “Item post”, the latter unlockable after about 2 hours of progress in the game. As for the Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy XVI , however, the contents will be a  digital Miniartbook  and the  Mini digital soundtrack , redeemable via the Square Enix Digital Content Viewer which will automatically download to your console.

The Collector’s Edition of the game, however, will include:

 
  • Collector’s Box : A beautiful metallic box featuring an illustration by legendary artist Yoshitaka Amano;
  • Final Fantasy XVI Game : Physical version of the base game, including a reversible cover;
  • Premium Statue – Phoenix vs Ifrit : a Premium statue representing a battle between two Eikons, Phoenix and Ifrit;
  • Eikon Metallic Pin Collection : A collection of metallic pins featuring depictions of eight Eikons;
  • Clive Rosfield Special Steelbook : A Steelbook box featuring an illustration of the protagonist Clive Rosfield;
  • Cloth Map of Valisthea : A cloth map of Valisthea, the land where the game’s story takes place;
  • Weapon “Sword of Blood” (DLC) : The legendary scarlet steel sword of Firion, hero of Final Fantasy II.
  • Digital mini artbook
  • Mini digital soundtrack
  • DLC Scholar’s Glasses (an accessory that increases XP earned)

The Collector’s Edition will be pre-orderable exclusively on the Square Enix Store from 19:00 on December 12.
