European Parliament declares Russia ‘state sponsor of terrorism’

The European Parliament declared Russia a ‘state sponsor of terrorism’, stating that Russia committed war crimes and used terrorism as a tool.
In the statement made by the European Parliament, “The Parliament adopted a resolution on the latest developments in Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine. Deputies, Russian forces and their deputies deliberate attacks and atrocities against civilians in Ukraine, destruction of civilian infrastructure, stresses that other serious violations of international and humanitarian law constitute acts of terrorism and war crimes. In light of this, Russia has been recognized as a ‘sponsor to terrorism’ and a state that ‘uses terrorism as a tool’.
ZELENSKI: WE ARE SATISFIED
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski said in a statement on the European Parliament ‘s decision on his social media account, “I welcome the decision of the European Parliament to recognize Russia as a state sponsoring terrorism and using terror tools. “Every level must be isolated and held accountable to end the ongoing policy of terrorism,” he said.
