Eruption of Fuego Volcano in Guatemala

An explosion occurred at Fuego Volcano in Guatemala, a Central American country.

One of the most active volcanoes in Central America, Fuego, in Guatemala, reactivated on Saturday night.

The volcano, which is about 16 kilometers away from the touristic city of Antigua, started to spew ash and smoke to a height of two kilometers after the eruption.

The lighting, which occurred after the volcano started to move, caused panic.

While a cloud of smoke covered the sky due to the eruption, the authorities closed the main roads around the volcano to entrances and exits.

It was stated that the activity in the volcano was followed by the authorities and no evacuation operation has been carried out so far.
