Epic Games ‘ free games initiative continues: every Thursday, its store gives away a new video game to anyone who has an account and wants to redeem it.

The free titles provided by the Fortnite creators’ online store are exclusively for the PC platform.
The program started in December 2018 and a long time has passed since its debut: time that allows us to sum up.
We do it to understand the goodness of the program, and above all whether it was worthwhile or not for the players to “mark up” this fixed appointment on Thursdays at 17:00.
There was certainly no shortage of peaks, such as the time when two big names were offered in just one week.
Other exceptionalities concerned, perhaps after periods of lean, the inclusion of three good titles simultaneously.

Curiosity: initially there were only one titles every fourteen days, then they moved on to one (up to three) a week and one a day close to the Christmas holidays.
Free titles on the Epic Games Store
Below, then, you will find the complete list of titles that have been offered for the PC platform from the start of the initiative until the last week of this January.
In these now three abundant years, there have been many choices from the indie world of the highest level ( The Witness and What Remains of Edith Finch , Transistor and Hyper Light Drifter , to name a few). category in which we mention by way of example GTA V, Watch Dogs and Hitman . In some cases there have been repetitions, for example that of Alien Isolation brought in several times, but these were mostly exceptions on the Epic Games Store. At the same time as the announcement of the return of the free games initiative for 2021, Epic Games Store has published also some data relating to the state of health of its platform. As our Stefania Sperandio underlined, while the numbers regarding the use of the platform are significantly increasing, those connected to spending are still at a standstill and very distant from Steam .
