‘Energy infrastructure is a target almost every day’

Ukrainian leader Zelensky announced that the Russian army continues to carry out attacks on critical energy infrastructures in Ukraine almost daily.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski addressed the nation with his daily video message he shared on his Telegram account and stated that power cuts continue in Ukraine as a result of Russian attacks. Stating that the Russian army continues to target energy infrastructures, Zelenski announced that Russian forces carried out attacks on the southern port city of Odessa with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).


‘1.5 million people were left without electricity

Stating that 10 of the 15 Iranian-made UAVs launched by the Russian forces were destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Defense, Zelenski Said That As A Result Of The Attacks, The Energy Noting that their infrastructure was damaged, he said, “The situation in the Odessa region is very serious.” Noting that power cuts occurred in the entire region as a result of the attacks, Zelenski said, “As of now, more than 1.5 million people are without electricity in Odessa.” Stating that power cuts continue in many other regions, especially in Kiev, Zelenski said, “There are bombardments, missile attacks, UAV attacks in different regions almost every day. Energy facilities are hit almost every day,” he said. Zelenski said that intensive work is underway to quickly repair damaged power plants. The Ukrainian military said it shot down 10 Russian UAVs in Odessa last Saturday, but five targeted energy facilities.


Ivan Fedorov, the exiled Ukrainian mayor of the city of Melitopol, reported that an attack was carried out on the Russian-controlled city. Some images of a large fire in the city were also served by the Russian authorities.
