First Lady Emine Erdoğan met with Regina De Dominicis, Turkey Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
During the meeting held at the Presidential Complex as part of the 23rd International Children’s Forum organized by UNICEF, Dominicis signed the Zero Waste Goodwill Declaration, which Emine Erdoğan opened for signature with the United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
Stating that they were inspired by Emine Erdoğan’s efforts to combat climate change and the environment, Dominicis stated that they wanted to carry out joint studies in this field.
Dominicis stated that the education campaigns under the auspices of Emine Erdoğan, especially “Come on Girls”, have made great gains in the participation of girls in education in Turkey.
Emine Erdoğan also stated that she follows UNICEF’s work closely and would be pleased to cooperate on education and environmental issues.
