Elon Musk targets activists in response to criticism over Donald Trump’s decision to return to Twitter

According to Elon Musk’s previous statements, Donald Trump’s decision to return to Twitter should have belonged to the Twitter Moderation Council. Musk explained that the idea of the Council belongs to a large coalition of political/social activist groups.

Following a poll by Elon Musk on Twitter recently, Donald Trump returned to Twitter. Tweets on the @realDonaldTrump account have become visible again. It was noteworthy that Trump returned to the platform just a few days after announcing that he would run for the US presidency in 2024.

Donald Trump’s return to the platform has been severely criticized as well as his return. Because Elon Musk has stated in the past that such decisions on the platform will be taken by the Twitter Moderation Council, which has a wide variety of perspectives. However, the situation was that contrary to this approach, as Elon Musk frequently stated, the decision was taken with a vote on a platform that fights bots and spam accounts.

In response to the criticism, Musk stated that a large coalition of political/social activist groups has agreed not to try to kill Twitter by depriving it of advertising revenue, if it accepts this condition.

Using the phrase “they broke the deal”, Musk implied that the groups in question made a deal to prevent Twitter from trying to destroy its ad revenue. Musk’s posts suggest that these groups “broke the deal” and therefore Musk no longer has to support things with the council.

Elon Musk’s claims were not convincing to many.
